Job Description
De Beers is offering MQA-registered Engineering Learnerships for candidates seeking to qualify as Artisans. This structured four-year programme will provide formal training at an accredited training centre in Randfontein and on-the-job training at Venetia Mine.

Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualifications:
Each discipline requires a Grade 12 certificate with Mathematics and the following N2 subjects:
Plating:
- N2 Engineering Science
- N2 Plating & Structural Steel Drawings
- N2 Platers Trade Theory

C&I Mechanician:
- N2 Engineering Science
- N2 Industrial Electronics
- N2 Mechanician Theory

Electrical:
- N2 Engineering Science
- N2 Industrial Electronics
- N2 Electrical Trade Theory

Fitting & Turning:
- N2 Engineering Science
- N2 Engineering Drawings
- N2 Fitting & Machine Trade Theory

Diesel Mechanic:
- N2 Engineering Science
- N2 Engineering Drawing
- N2 Diesel Trade Theory

Additional Requirements:
- Must be willing to travel for training outside Limpopo
- Must obtain a Red Ticket (Medical Fitness Certificate) on the mine
- Must pass criminal record verification and psychometric & technical assessments
- Must provide proof of residence from Municipality or Tribal Council (dated within 3 months)

Key Responsibilities
- Complete formal and practical training as per the MQA Learnership Programme
- Work under experienced Artisans and Engineers to develop technical skills
- Perform engineering maintenance and repair tasks under supervision

Competencies Required
- Strong technical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills (English – verbal & written)
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Basic computer literacy


Employment Terms
- Section 18.2 Learnership Contract (4 years)
- On-the-job training at Venetia Mine
- Preference given to candidates from Musina, Blouberg, Alldays, and Limpopo Province
